In conjunction with INNSBRUCK INTERNATIONAL 2024, Oliver Hangl hosts his «Walking Concert» series, which since 2013 has literally sent Austrian musicians and audiences onto the streets. With each Walking Concert, new avenues open up through public and perhaps even private spaces in the city, revealing reality as an «uncontrollable setting for mobile concert stages».
Anna Mabo’s musical journey started with her own poems and self-composed songs – first on the piano and cello before turning to the guitar. After graduating in directing from the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and specialising in theatre studies and philosophy at the University of Giessen, she immediately went on to work as a director at renowned theatres such as the Schauspielhaus Wien, Landestheater Lower Austria, Volkstheater Vienna and Landestheater Linz. Anna Mabo’s artistic output already includes three albums, which she has released on the BaderMolden-Recordings label. She writes her songs on the guitar, often accompanies herself with a harmonica and occasionally performs with the band ‘Die Verzerrten’. Her music arises from personal experiences and adventures, which is why her third album, ‘Danke, gut’, deals with topics such as interpersonal relationships, loneliness and friendship. In 2020, she performed at the 37th Danube Island Festival and opened the Popfest Vienna the following year. In 2023, she wrote a song for the New Year’s Concert and curated Popfest together with electronic musician Dorian Concept. Numerous performances at the Radiokulturhaus, Theater am Spittelberg, Wiener Stadtpark, Burg Hasegg, Sargfabrik, Theater an der Gumpendorfer Straße, among others.
