MARIE STOCKHAUSEN
«Dance is life. And mine always has been…» Dancer and choreographer Marie Stockhausen received her training at the National Ballet School in Berlin. Engagements have taken her to the Saarbrücken National Theatre and the Hanover State Opera, among others. She has danced in productions by Enrique Gasa Valga, Mats Ek, Marco Goecke, Yuki Mori, Louis Stiens, Chang Ho Shi, Stephan Toss, Birgit Scherzer, and Pierre Wyss, among others, and has made guest appearances at the Festival Internacional de Dansa in Barcelona. In 2006/07, Marie Stockhausen became a soloist with the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck dance company, where she performed in ‘Frida Kahlo. Pasión por la vida’ – awarded the ‘Golden Schikaneder’ for best dance production in 2013 – in which she performed the title role. Marie Stockhausen received the Austrian Music Theatre Award as ‘Best Ballet Production’ for her first full-length choreography, ‘Charlie Chaplin’.
LARA BRANDI
Originally from Florence, the Italian completed her dance training at the Hamlyn Dance School and spent two years at the École-Atelier Rudra Béjart, where she also performed with the Bejart Ballet Lausanne. After an engagement at the Maggio Danza di Firenze, she joined the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck in 2013 and impressed in numerous productions by Enrique Gasa Valga and contemporary choreographers: Chaplin
(Charlie Chaplin), Anne Frank (Die Lautlose Welt der Anne Frank) and Frida (Frida Kahlo – Nueva Pasión). In her last season at the Tiroler Landestheater, she had the opportunity to present her piece Maledetto Modigliani to the audience for the first time as a choreographer and director. Since December 2023 she is ballet mistress and dancer of the Limonada Enrique Gasa Valga Dance Company (Lágrimas Negras, Congress Innsbruck; The Great Gatsby, Deutsches Theater Munich).
KATHARINA SENK
In her personal artistic practice the Austrian danceartist looks for ways to combine her interests in posthumanism, intersectional feminism and pleasure with her knowledge of dance, martial arts and movement. Her work and collaborations are exhibited in Austria and abroad.
MARCEL LEEMANN
The artist works as a freelance choreographer, dancer and director, as well as a dance and theatre instructor. He regularly tours Switzerland and abroad with his company ‘Marcel Leemann Physical Dance Theatre’ and produces his own dance pieces. Leemann’s works are unexpectedly raw, passionate and humorous. Dance theatre that challenges. His works are based on structured improvisation with a clear dance technique. He has been head of the dance company at the Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck since September 2023.
